Just a query about em and nco luftwaffe collar tabs...

I've noticed that you can get two types of repro - the type with stamped metal rank gulls and the type with wire embroidered gulls. Which of these types is more authentic ?

I haven't come across any photos of original enlisted men's collar tabs with wire embroidered gulls - did they exist ? This page seems to be a good reference and shows only em/nco tabs with stamped gulls http://www.axishistory.com/index.php?id=4583

any comments ?

As you see from those photos, officers had embroidered gulls, the rest had metal ones. I think that is correct.

It seems so.. so the ones i bought off Epic and stuck on my flieger blouse are a bit farby :oops:
