Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
Epic don't appear to be doing M42s at the moment, and this is a 68 shell - most M42s i've seen recently only seem to be 66 shells..
From the photo, it doesn't look right - that's all I can say.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
the skirt does look v deep... could be that the flared rim adds to the effect...
anyway, thanks guys - i'll think about it...
does it look right ?
No, not really.
Look at the front of the helmet, the peak seems to turn up.
They do to a tiny degree. Quite a poor repro.
I bought one some years ago and it only ever gets used to top out a zeltbahn tent.

In the past few years, the number of poor repro lids seems to have increased markedly. I still have my first helmet, which I got from Spearhead in early 2007 - a very good repro. Now it would appear that very cheap/poor Chinese repros are being produced and retailed by some UK outlets. The picture that you might see on a website is no indicator of the quality of the product you receive. And when I say "quality" I am not rivet-counting - I'm simply referring to the correct shape of the helmet!
My advice would be to get one at a military show/fair, where you can handle and see the product close up. (The other alternative would be to spend a lot more on a refurbished original.)

thanks for that guys...
i bought this in the end - [link]http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130656731869?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649[/link]
please don't say it's as bad as the first
i dont know,i guess im a little biased as i prefer the rolled edges of the m35 and m40 and they can correctly portray a wider time frame .be sure and let us know what its like in the flesh, helmets are quite difficult to judge from photo's ,and we all like to get good deals
