Hi Guys
Dose anyone know of any comercial model sprey paints that match the colour of the mess tins? the paint on mine are looking flakey so I want to re-paint them before I bring them out to play again.
Not model spray paint but most car or industrial paint suppliers can match to RAL codes..
Try RAL 6006.
It's not spot on to wartime spec but its damn close.
Useful for belt buckles, gas mask tins, canteen cups, spare MG barrel cases and even mid-late war helmets. Almost anything metal and found about the person.
My local can mix either cellulose or acrylic. I find the former 'bakes on' better if you want to use your tins over a flame.
