Game wise it is perfectly acceptable , and authenticity wise no reason why not either IMHO .

Field grey trousers would have been much more common with an M40 smock but smocks and peas trousers were seen. Rather unusual but it did happen.
Some of the chinese vendors do larger sizes, try Ant-z or panzerfaust1943 on e-bay.

Yep Chens is good stuff. As Angel says its all made to order so although it may take longer to get its guaranteed to be a good fit. If you're unsure on the sizings its best to contact him. I got a little confused by the sizing charts.

Thanks for the advice, another question, I only wanted the dot 44 trousers because I could not find the oak leaf trousers, I have now come across a pair in my size and would go with the smock, but they have side pockets, will this be ok. at least it would match.

cheers

If you want to be authentic oakleaf trousers are fairly rare, much better to go with field grey with a smock.

As for mixing and matching the german/ss army didn't differentiate too much, it was all 'camouflage' only collectors give it names like oakleaf II, planetree etc.

But if you get the oakleaf ones with cargo pockets get a stich unpicker and remove them, takes minutes and makes them look load more authentic.
