overseas cap insignia

Gents/ladies

I have aquired the first item of my loadout, Overseas cap and its insignia. I have already sewn on the cockade but before i sew the eagle on...

Q " Is there a correct height / spacing for the eagle or does it not matter. ??

Only asking as some persons can get a bit Anal

I cheated an bought the trapeziod badges for hats :oops: eagles a couple of mm above the cockade on both (I can scan if required as ones stiff fabric and ones on sheen fabric). They both have similar spacing and the circle of the cockade lines up with the circle held by the eagle (you know the bit I mean ;) )

thanks , having sat there and actually lined everything up, i cant really go wrong, there isnt a great deal to play around with. i'll just sew it on and should be ok providing i get it straight

pikestaff's pic has made me think. Jeks, do you have BeVo or embroidered insignia? If it's BeVo (woven) then its a hell of a lot more work than embroidered, as you need to cut it to shape with about 5mm of material all the way round, which you then need to fold back and glue/iron/fold it back on itself before stitching it on.
