Hi guys
Just purchased a 1942 model German canteen, complete with bakelite cup and original strap. Unfortunately, whilst undoing the thing the strap broke where it attaches to the aluminium screw cap - probably a common problem with crusty old straps - 
Does anyone know where I can get a good quality repro one?

Thanks K - interesting site. I've managed to source a couple now - both in the States - none of the major reenactment suppliers in the UK have any - one of them [no names mentioned] even said 'nobody does them...' - 
Are Landser speedy when it comes to shipping? I'm used to ordering toy soldiers from a company in California and taking receipt of them in 5 days -
