Anyone know where I can get some wollen gloves, wehrmacht issue, in grey with the white cuff ring, suesue66 had some recently, but they were sold out as soon as they appeared on the site
SOF do them but then again any civvy wool gloves wil ldo as they were often knitted for the troops by societies at home IIRC

Thanks Gadge, just need a pair of the issue ones to wear over some gortex thermal linners for the trip to Russia
Yeah i'm withyou i just meant that as far as i knew a lot of gloves were non standard sent to the front, shortage of winter kit meaning that folks at home donated or made stuff for the lads.

does that help? He's got other sizes
If I come across the 'banded' gloves -which size do you need? 1,2 or 3 bands were used to indicate size.
Del
The bands [which i've also seen in green]were normally worn on the inside of the gloves. This means you can be safe with any chunky knit grey wool glove.
Going to russia with the WARS boys?

Thanks troops, yes off Russia, definately four of us so far, still working on Del, Chomley, Frontschwein and Heide, like to get a whole section of our own together for this if possible.
Major gave me a pair of grey 'Thinsolate' gloves a while back - look very similar to the real thing but more cosy and practical than grey wool!
