Yes I know theres oodles of them on ebay but I've just ordered 2 splinter zeltbahn's from ebay at much cheapness
however I don't think the buttons are on it or indeed will be inc. I've been looking intensively in a book which shows the position of the buttons (every last one of them
thats lots o buttonsand online and am wondering if its possible to stich the minimum required rather than the many many that would be on an authentic?
The plan is we'll only be using them as something if it rains and as an extra layer if required for warmth. If I can't get a definitive answer I will sew buttons on for Germany, but if its avoidable for the time being and I can get away with sewing less on, then I'd appreciate someone indicating the position of where said buttons would be required to go pleeeeeease.
Thanks
Helga

Which seller did you get them from? Suesue66 ones have all the buttons on.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
There are not many that dont come with buttons. ATF had some SS ones but they were not cheap.
If you only want to use it as a poncho then the top 4 at each side of the peak and bottom 4 left and right will keep it closed.
Try landser they have a full set of buttons for not much, more than you might ever need though. same buttons go on bread bags and often on A-Frame bags.

Good news Helga - I didn't envy you having to sew a load of those on. I've buttoned my Zelt into the cloak / smock shape, and then rolled it up on my belt order.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
thats what we'll be doing steiner once we've buttoned them up correctly, so they can just be pulled over our noggins. Che tells me he knows where to get some straps for them, and that will be them all sorted
Soldier of Fortune do the straps.
