(Overnight I half buried a bunch of tissue paper in there to look as though someone had used it as a latrine - wasn't there on Sunday morning, so joke was lost )

E-Tools were used at the first ever CiA event - Battle of the Bulge.

We didn't have any and tragically had to miss out on all the fun of filling sandbags lol.

Interestingly, the shovel is described as THE hand-to-hand weapon of choice for the germans in "All Quiet on the Western Front".

Seeing as we've never been in any actual melees, and as we don't particularly want to dig foxholes, we have done fine so far without having them.

Having said that, they could come in handy for a weekender if you find you need to go....

Ah yes, you reminded me Barrie. We thought it would be cool if players could do a bit of roleplay and fill sandbags. No takers as I recall, they just wanted to shoot people
Yesterday I watched some footage of a US film cameraman who joined the press entourage for D-Day - their personal weapon was the e-tool, which was probably a bit of a shock. You have to be really close to the enemy to use that, a non-combatant as well!
And yes, 'personal' use is an excellent application (no need to take it in-game though unless there is a loosage of bowel problem...)

I dug an MG nest with mine at Eagle as landed (with the help of Headshot and his lady)

which as we said about 5 posts back we didnt use other than for photos

I know I was mentioning purely due to the fact thats the only time I have ever used my e-tool hehe

I always wear all my kit, more for looking good than for practical airsofting

i will be wearing my e-tool simple coz i was daft enough to buy the bloody thing.

Not strictly in keeping, but Jeep Drivers in Market Garden were issued with them...plus they're keeping my helmet net a bit more secure until I get the chinstrap fitted on my M1C.

Don't give a toss for airsoft because we all need to use eye protection, but at a WW2 reenactment event it a tad farby. You can get post-war copies for not much pence. I believe Soldier of Misfortune may have them.

The arm flag on a 101st jump suit is a bit out of place too. Perhaps more so than the goggles.
The look is good, you wear it well.
