Yep, RSOV are the best by far, especially if you do a "group bulk" order, far cheaper than the UK. It would be nice to see more locaps on Thompsons!

With regards to these mags, whats types are allowed at these games, i'm hoping to get 190rd mags, as from an expense point of view to buy enough 60rd mags to cover the ammo limits will make me skint. I havent found anything that says if certain mag types arent allowed. Also sorry if this is in the place, but it seemed appropriate.

With regard to CiA organised games then we don't put a restriction on the capacity of magazines, only the quantity of ammunition.
In other words, we don't expect anyone to ditch kit they may already have BUT

a) MP40 users often feel outgunned by hi-cap Thompson users (there are arguments for and against)
b) low & mid-caps give a somewhat more 'realistic' capacity
c) some people like frantic mag changes
d) some people prefer short mags
e) some people don't like rattly wind-up mags

Hi thanks for the reply, believe me i wish that higher capacity midcaps like 100rd ones were available, at the end of the day i would love to be able to buy enough low caps to meet the requirement but just dont have the funds, plus the space they would take up.

Might try and go for a mix of the two, have a compromise.

As said thanks again, have been trying to find the stance on mag types for ages, as have some of my team mates.

As the boss says - it's purely overall capacity that is limited - 600 rounds per life for SMGs.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

I've got 12 of the buggers(lo-cap mags) and don't use my hi caps anymore.

Best advice a M1A1 Thompson owner could read

Yeah I agree with yah, we do outgun you a lot. CiA games though, a Thompson Hi-cap and half is all you can take out anyway. I like to fill all my mags up when i go out, drop the full 1s at the CP, so it doesnt take long to re-equip. My hi-caps don't last very long, shooting through the bushes at varsity was hard,... i think its the 1st game after the winter period where the brambles and bushes are getting more dense.

I use real caps in my modern loadout, but armalite mags are fairly small, MP40 and Thompson mags are quite bulky and long.

I have a 1928 Thompson does that make me exempt? ;)

£8.99 for 2 Cyma standard caps! Yes, £4.50 each .... They are rated as 47 rounds each, but I usually get 55 in them without straining. I've got 12 of the buggers and don't use my hi caps anymore.
