Morning all,

Not sure if this is just me but having great difficulty in sorting out the renewal on my AFRA membership, can get through the renewal screen and tick all the boxes etc but when I press submit I'm not getting any on screen confirmation that the application has been sent, nor am I being directed to any other screen ........ got a cheque all written and ready and am thwarted in sending it !!!

Anyone else had this and solved it?

yeah, i did, i had an error about an empty field. I resolved it by re-submitting my passport photo, which then meant that all the entry boxes had something in them, and it worked. You should receive a confirmation email when it goes through.

Do make sure all items outlined in red are fully completed. Unfortunately you don't get a confirmation screen that all was submitted correctly - you just end up at your profile page. Check your emails for further instructions on what to do with your cheque. Once the cheque has been processed your web account will be unlocked and you will be released from the profile page when you log in.

Any problems then contact me by PM and I'll give you instructions on how to submit renewals by post.

Well I had problems, sent a cheque to PD, had no response, sent an email, no response, sent a pm, no response.

To be honest I'm beginning to despair a bit.

Well I had problems, sent a cheque to PD, had no response, sent an email, no response, sent a pm, no response.

To be honest I'm beginning to despair a bit.

I've been in regular contact with Paul, via Pst! forum re my AFRA app; it does say on the website that's there's been a lot of apps and a big backlog, but that all apps would be processed asap ............

I'm sure that it will be fine, even though it's undoubtedly frustrating.

Looking to the positives, the more apps there are the more interested parties there are in the hobby, which, once the chaff settles from the wheat, must surely be a good thing :good:

Couldn't get the site to work - would not accept my password, even when it sent me a new one. Chommers gave me instructions on how to renew by post, which I have done. Awaiting confirmation / card.

Unfortunately we lost all our login and password details when my old pc died and I had to change over to a shiny new one.

I was going to bring copies of our membership cards and a cheque to give to PD at the upcoming game and hope that's all that he needs.

i may also have massive trouble then, seeing as how we are on the daughters laptop due to our pc monitor not working... there are no passport pics of me on here.

i think i may have to re-new by post ( if AFRA / PD will accept it after that unpleasentness over a joke, we shall see)

Barry - Your log in name is CiABarrie and if you click the link "get passwords" it should email you a enw one.....

Similarly Anne - log in name CiAAnne - repeat as above to get new passwords.

Scaley - I can't even remember any unpleasantness over a joke bud. And if there was it is forgotten. Even if it wasn't - as Stig (Poacher) says - we would be out of order letting personal issues cloud this project - Your application is welcome and will be expedited as soon as all conditions are fulfilled (i.e. we have a correctly filled in application, a useable photo uploaded and £15.00 subs in our account)

Harry Hotspur I assume your log in is "Hotspur" if so you must be omitting to tick a required dialogue box or upload a photo. You have an account but it is still requiring you to log in and click the "join" button. The most common fault is either ticking the likeness button when not uploading an image or not ticking it when you have....... Give it another go and if no joy then email me on the pdATafraDOTorgDOTuk address and I will work with you to assist.

Along with 50 or so other cards yours is here - done with Choms and Jays and ready to go - I need to get away from the PC and go bank money, draw funds on a cheque, buy stationary and stamps and address mondo envelopes then go back out and post........ Despair away - it will mean the arrival of the card brings a much needed ray of sunshine into your otherwise bleak existence.

Joker - Have your application on file and am awaiting payment and of course for you to upload an image for your photoID on to the system.............

good good. very reassuring. once a cheque clears monday or tuesday i will endeaver to re-new online.

seems to be that my account isnt fully activated, I only get very basic browsing on the AFRA website, no option to submitt renewals or anything like that.

Hello there,seem to be having trouble with the renewal-old number 18,new one 96 name of Richard Jones.

Everything seems to be in order,uploaded new pic etc but do not get anything to tick if this is a likeness so when at the end i click on the green tick nothing happens,just goes to same page-anything else i need to do please?

Hallo folks.
OK - Your problem was due to not having a valid DoB in the box Barrie. This has been added which will now allow you to renew. FIll in the boxes comprehensively please and upload a nice piccy that you want to appear on your new dark blue card :lol:
Anne - it seems you never actually completed an application online. So hers is simple - Just log in and click the Join button. Follow the steps - fill lin all the red boxes and upload a nice piccy for new ID card. That done, all should work.

Not a problem - we have to help folks get sorted...... It's if people suffer in silence and then go away and moan..... These "problems" need finding and highlighting so we CAN eventually make the site more intuitive.

Any further snags - give us a shout.
