A chap has sent me some pics of what is believed to be a small hand carved horn container with a small vial inside. He was told it was made for a General for cyanide ampule. Looks pretty authentic any ideas or have people seen this type of thing before?

It is certainly an interesting item which he believes is not a fake. ![]()

Well, tell your mate to try the stuff, if he snuffs it then he's right

It's feasible, but the ampoule cannisters were generally quite small, and designed to be concealable, to avoid confiscation if captured. Having a big ol' keyfob with a swastika on it would be a bit of a giveaway.
Another thing is that stuff with swastikas on were really quite popular in the pre-nazi era. I've got a Rudyard Kipling book with a swastika on the front, a christmas card from Baden-Powell emblazoned with 'em, as well as a nazi trivet.
Certainly an interesting item, though. If you get any more info on it, i'd certainly like to hear.
Thanks I did ask him and to be honest he is pretty worried about the contents
Good points about the size the only ones I have seen are usually like small metal cannisters about an inch long. Interesting item though.
I like the theater of it belonging to a Top Nazi General in charge of a secret underground Salt mine with research for UFO`s aaaahhhhhhhh

It's a wooden leg for a Midget Nazi Pirate. The hook would have had a wheel attached to it for escaping allied soldiers at speed. Nazi pirates were very fond of waffles so I'd imagine the vial contains caster sugar.
A haul of Midget Nazi Pirate weaponry was recently found by a Sky News reporter.
Hope this helps.

Unless of course you wanted it to be taken off you
