I thought there hadn't been a conflict in Scotland between two armed forces for some time. Obviously I'm excluding any old firm games
"The emblem is a special sign of neutrality and protection recognised by all sides during armed conflicts.
What a load of bollocks. If by recognised they mean as targets then yes. You'd have to be crazy to wear them in a modern conflict and we all know what good they were in the Pacific and Eastern fronts.
Should have changed them to pink

Free speech is expensive these days!

How bloody stupid ![]()
Out of interest I checked for nurses outfits on fleabay and this little number came up. Are the BRC going to be having words with the manufacturer ?
She looks Japanese, they didn't sign the Geneva convention. I'll question her further to be sure though... ![]()
oooo likes like I'm going to be contentious here and say that I think it was not unreasonbable for the BRC to make this request.
i think the real crime here though is letting Jim Davidson anywhere near the stage!

Please elaoborate Fremsley? What harm does it do if a pantomime dame wears a red cross? Medics are fair targets, take out the medic, you take out the team! It's all make believe anyway.

When I saw the headline and picture I just assumed that employing Jim Davidson was the contravention in question...

It could be a roundabout way of saying 'this is our corporate symbol Davidson, we are not having it sullied.'
God what's going to happen if the person who reported it walks in on an airsoft game
Yes i think that BRC are probably quite fed up with the symbol being in what might be deemed in a disrespectfull manner ie probably some git dressed up to look like a caricature of a nurse, with all the old hackneyed steroetypes into the bargain.
However, anyone using it for re-enaction etc i think would not have a problem as its being used in the proper context.
Mind you speaking as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (would you believe its actually unlawful for anyone to call themselves a nurse untless they are on the NMC register), I think there is a health risk here as anyone who wants to pay to see Jim Davidson needs to have thier bumps felt!
