Couldn't make it this year and was just wondering how it went?
Had a cracking day on Saturday - one highlight of the day was the Spitfire ripping it up over the site
the next day a Lancaster flew over with two spitys as escorts v cool
camping
booze

reenacting (reenacting optional in my case)
whats not to like
theres nowt so Permanent as temporary

What was the shopping like? Anyone find anything really special?

Kavster would have loved the Russian bride stall - bargins galore
Brilliant few days wandering around
Got to meet CHE and Helga ( didn't know you guys where part of "DAS-REICH" )
I bought some Fallschirmjäger kit from Anthony
The Spitfire on Saturday was worth the entrance fee alone, also the Lancaster with Spitfire and Mustang escort just topped it all off. (or was it a Huricane) dam hay-fever was killing me and bright blue sky did not help.
Tired ?? come and i will put you too sleep BANG BANG
yes have to say top weekend bumped into a few of the airsofting boys thought is was funny that only the Germans went out there way to speak to us when we was out in full bling
will put a couple off photos up when i get hold of them
Heard on the grape vine that they will be holding the event there next year but the year after that its moving to newark show ground
There have been rumours about it moving for some time, whether the one you've heard is true has yet to be seen but similar has been said each year after the event
PS you didn't come and see me and I'm a very friendly axis reenactor (or is that daft offering tea and bacon banjo's out ) either way TUT at you guys
9mm hopefully you'll voyage south bound for another DR event ? hope you enjoyed your battle
Forgot to add, whislt I never got into battle my gas canister did some of Che's airsofting kit also made its debut public appearance there
Best bit of the whole thing was the camaraderie. To be amongst like minded people that came from all over the world to attend an event in the UK was great, whislt during the day we sometimes struggled understanding each other, by night the universal language of "drunk" ruled
Good to hear the weather was good this year.
Glad you guys enjoyed it.

Well, that was my first time, but it sure as hell won't be my last. Big thanks to 9mmSleepin'Pill (and Beth too!) for convincing me to go, got to meet a lotta cool people, finished off my US kit, and most of my German kit too. Hell, at this rate next year I'll be hunting for British gear!! The arial display was awsome, and the effort that went into some of the fixed displays was...unbelievable!! Asked loads of questions about why things were as they were, and found to my delight an avalanche of answers!! Very soon POW Airsoft is gonna look just like an oversized beltring display!!!
Had a great time as always, we camped in the vehicle park with some friends who were there with a stalwart and a champ, the guy with the champ runs his own brewery and had a barrel of beer along which we helped him drink .
As per normal I spent more then I'd planned but there was some stuff I just had to have
Vehicle I would have taken home with me? (if I could have smuggled it out without anyone seeing ), definately this one
Sounds like a good time was had by all......... (starts regretting that £17 entry seemed a tad expensive...)

It's so cute but what is it?
It's a Czechoslovakian T38 built for the Germans between 1939 - 1942
They've always been one of my favourites too, such a cool looking little tank.

Cool tank it must only be about 5ft tall as you can see the guy behind it.
Free speech is expensive these days!
He must be stood on something, see the height of the other bloke.
offical height of T38 is 2.31 metres
