Why dont you perhaps do a fictional engagement with the 101st? You could do something where they are dropped in and it goes badly....
Another good 'what if' is that the Soviets dont stop in 1945 on there designated borders and have to be held back by US or British troops (this nearly happend btw as brit 6th airborne had to stop a soviet armoured regiment by bluffing them),the downside to a battle like that is you lose 50 per cent of the player base with not germans!
German POW's & American Infantry forced together by a common foe against the might of the Red Army! I would go to that in a second! Everyone tell me what you think of that idea because I'll write a scenario and get a game sorted haha

I think its quite a cool idea and from what i remember there was thought of re-arming germnay to stop the reds if they pushed their luck.
I think the thing with jumpsuits as well is that they dry pretty fast and dont hold the water which probably helps. Denisons are evil when wet as they are heavy enough dry!
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
I think it's a cracking idea, I'll try and sort out a scenario; there'd be an interesting mix of players because there will be all the hardcore american players and all the hardcore german players together whick I'm sure will be a culture shock and then anyone who wants to play Russian...

It is a really good thing to get players that usually play against each other to play alongside each other, this is when you discover the guys on the other side are just the same as yourself, wanting to get the best out of the game.
Himmlers last plan , was a alliance with the western powers to fight the forces of bolshevism .
even churchill was worried about the soviets pushing west
great idea for a fun game , but haw many people play russains???
id say youd need at least 30 a side to give the us/brit/germans a chance , and could you find 30 soviets ??
though there are about 20 people going soviet, for the game in febuary

We could have an invasion of Poland game, combining Germans fighting alongside Russians against the Poles, just a thought

Too right - considering the sympathies of certain members of the family
Well anyway...I'll write a scenario and put up an interest thread...see what happens!

Back on topic for a sec Tom, been wanting to finally get to use my USMC kit, after having it for almost 3 years now! Unfortunately like everyone has said, finding the Japs is the hard bit, even after "pacific" and the inevitable Dog Co kitting themselves out in it, it's a futile point, no1 will get Jap kit, and only a few memebers actually look japanese to pull the look off!
I'm getting jap kit.
Been looking at Japanese Kit also.
which one of you is going to charge at us with a flag?
Having looked at Mikoyan's guide and discussed it with Yith I'm sure it would be easy enough to get some look a like kit together. Just need to encourage a few people to give it a go. I've certainly up for trying it. I still wont look Japanese but that will not matter when I'm hidden in a log bunker behind a Type 92.
