My query is for other members of our group

Don't worry Gadge, we'll decide if PBI members kit is up to scratch by the same criteria we will use for everyone else. I'm sure given their standard of kit, they will be fine . :D
.

Sorry was this not the 'afra *discussion*' thread or is it a signup thread?

Point in hand...

surely it makes more sense for someone who actually knows about 40s brit kit like yith to make that decision if it should be subjective?

I'm just debating here not trying to have a row ok?

Good lord above Gadge - this isn't about who is or is not the most knowledgeable about 1940's kit - that is for a reenacting forum!
We are NOT being dictatorial or prescriptive to the n'th degree.

But you know all this - it's explained on our private forum so I am at a loss to understand why you should persevere with a pointless debating position.

What is desperately, desperately important that folks realise this isn't a short cut for people that shouldn't to buy RIFs - there are checks and measures in place.
Long hair, boobs or the right colour serge have no place in the discussion at all.

Congratulations Chommers/Guy et al for getting this sorted.

It sounds like a big step in the right direction for WW2 airsoft and a great opportunity for all those involved with CiA and the events you put on.

Just one thing though....

2 You can join CiA for free after [...] being grandfathered in .

I'm too young to be considered a grandfather! ;)

Got in there before me.

By the way, you're not allowed to join because of those photos of you dancing bring Airsoft, WW2 skirmishing, CiA and the Scots people into serious disrepute! ;)

Erm, after D-day, doesn't that disqualify you and most of the CIA senior staff too?

It's amazing what you can do with data recovery kit ;)

No, that was art. Anyway, Germans shedding kit and running round in the buff at the first opportunity is very authentic.
