At last! After spending so much money, it scares me, I've got my "Major Konig" loadout 99% finished. I've never been one for posting up pictures of myself but I know a couple of guys were interested in seeing how this turned out. A bit more to do yet but not a lot.

Basically, because I had to do the whole thing from scratch. The only things I could use from my SS loadout were waterbottle, breadbag and Pistol. Here's a complete kitlist of what I had to buy.
Swedish M1909 coat (Required extensive modifications) and a BITCH to find.
M36 EM Tunic with Jager officer insignia.
Officers Breeches.
Officers boots.
Bergmutze cap with metal Oakleaf and cloth eagle and cockade.
Officers belt and y straps.
K98 ammo pouches.
WW1 wound badge.
WW1 EK1.
WW1 EK2 Ribbon.
WW2 EK1 & EK2 spanges.
Splinter zeltbahn, straps and belt loops.
Collarless shirt.
Hindenburg cross ribbon bar.
Knights war merit cross.
PLUS countless hours of pausing and screen grabbing the DVD!
Still need binoculars (and gold tipped cigarettes!) but you can see that the cost soon mounts up. Very satisfying though.
It's not very "authentic" in the true sense but is 100% accurate for the film uniform.

Lol. This loadout has been the closest I'll ever get to "stitch-nazism"! I'm now off to my mom's house to use my Dads' woodworking tools on my PPSH41, that should be finished soon too! I'll be fresh out of projects at this rate!

For once, my postman has turned up before I leave for work! He dropped a nice package from Reich Stuff on my doorstep, which all but finishes my "Major Konig" M36 tunic off. All I need now is an officers breast eagle.
