Yeah, I'm up for this, not done an e&e game for a long time

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

It all depends on whether or not it's full weekend or a long day gme (e.g. camp and social on Sat, play Sun). If it's the latter, then it would a Yes for two maybe three of us.

It would be a full weekend, midday Sat to midday Sun, as that's rather the point.

Now if it was Germans evading Brits/US then I might be up for it. Maybe. However the other way around. Not a chance. Sorry. Evading for 24 hours is not something I want to do.

You could possibly do germans behind lines evading russians ala 'cross of iron' but i think you'd be stretching it a bit to have a scenario in which the allies were searching for germans *unless* you did downed pilots in the Uk and all the allies were home guard and boy scouts:)

Or the last days of the war, searching for escaped PoWs?

There was a mass escape of 140 or so German pow's (mostly U boat crews) from a camp near Bridgend, which had loads of troops, police & civvies out looking for them. Some of the Germans got as far as Bradford in a stolen car, which broke down just after they nicked it and they got some troops to give them a push after convincing them that they were Poles!

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Yeah but i was thinking about that... by the time th ebulge was well and truly over and germany knew it was shagged in 1945 most germans with any sense were *trying* to give themselves up to the yanks or brits as they knew the Russians woulf give them very short shrift.

I think german evaders either have to be either:

set at a time when they thought they were winning and getting back was a good idea and their duty

or

At a time when *not* getting back meant death, yugoslavia, albania, greece, russia, any one of the more feral theatres where a group of stragglers or escaped POWS would be killed by the locals

or

A unit with *very* high morale and or political conscience prepared to fight to the death and continue to soldier on in a hopeless situation

thats my thoughts on it anyway.

Probably the easiest would be to to an escape from the falaise pocket one as its late enough to be accesable and use convetional troops and at a point where most Germans hadnt realised it was all over and there were still divisions worth getting back to!

If German hunters then I can only give a possibly, as I would need a lift/loan of kit for t'driver or some such.

Three of us are 'yes, so long as we are not away on the date in question' if Allied Hunters.

Without giving the game away, I'm up for anything, date dependant. I have done Stirling combat missions which are similar to E&E, so I know I would be able to do it. I only epically failed at Churchills because I gave heather my wet weather gear to shut up the moaning.

In, German if needed, if I could borrow kit etc

I just noticed that the title now says, 'everybody to reply', so here's my 2p;

I've played a handful of Escape and Evade airsoft games, and not a single one has been sucessful as a game scenario. No game sight is large enough to allow adequate evation, with bottle necking of avaliable routes being the main problem, and the games are either over in 2minutes flat due ot everyone just rushing the opposing guards/patrols and off into the distance, or a stale non-movers because eveyone is waitng for backs to turn, that never will, because they're concious that an escape is going to happen as it's the whole point of the game (it's very hard to act/play innocence and fool yourself).

Hopefully you guys (and gals) can make it work, and into an interesting scenario twist that'll be well themed. I think I'd need more info before a definate yes or no.
