I'm looking to buy a WW2 Airsoft Gun from the lovely people on these forums. Sadly, I don't live in the UK, but in Sweden, another country in the EU.
I've read alot about the import of Airsoft weapons to the UK but nothing about export.
Now I'm looking for opinions and preferably experiences of people who have sold & shipped Airsoft weapons abroad. Do you need any sort of permit or license etc?
I've been in contact with British authorities but I haven't recieved a satisfying answer (surprisingly):
First I contacted HM Revenue & Customs asking whether I needed a permit and so on.
They referred me to the Department for Business Innovation & Skills who in turn asked me to read the information below to find out "how to determine if your goods need a licence."
https://www.gov.uk/do-your-goods-need-an-export-licence
https://www.gov.uk/firearms-and-export-control-forms
So if I understand it correctly, that would mean it comes down to whether Airsoft Gun Replicas can be considered Firearms or "Military Goods"?
I don't think any of that information supplied is relevant to airsoft toys, in particular the military regs exclude air guns

I think the question is firstly what you can import, not what we can export.
The second question would be finding a carrier that is happy to ship airsoft guns.
So, what is the legislation in your country about importing airsoft guns and if allowed, who is able to buy what, and what proof is required.

i would agree , the problem's would occur for you when importing into you'r own country , not in exporting from the UK.If you can freely import airsoft gun's from other country's then there should be no problem at all other than finding a courier willing to collect and deliver.

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

Alright, that's excelllent!
We have more lax regulations in Sweden regarding import and ownership, I believe. Although you need to be 18 to own one. And you can't import weapons with an impact energy of more than 4J, up to 4m away, for semi-weapons (and 3J for semi-auto/auto)
I'll start looking for a courier then, unless anyone has any suggestions?
Thanks for the quick replies
