It was a "World War".... ffs...
*cough* Poland *cough*
....ad nauseam.
*cough* Australia *cough*
We are NOT done yet Steve.
quite fancy doing an Anzak impression ,mostly because it will give me the excuse to make an owen gun.
armoury

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
Fecking hell, is there a dose of TB going round?
Okay, point made, but wtf is an "oven gun"?
It says OWEN gun.
Okay, point made, but wtf is an "oven gun"?
My Mum had a Potatoe expolde in the oven if that counts?
Oh, it was early and I do need new glasses.
-I will never get a american gun, two years (M16)
-Will never get into expensive gear, three years (modern and WW2)
-Never wear a helmet in airsoft, three years
-Never do anything but british impressions, still going. Anything from 1940 to 2010. Ironic since I'm not actually from Britain.
Why do you always carry that umbrella?
-Bad memory. Never could remember the password. Knew no Jerry would carry one. Had to prove I was an Englishman, you see.
A bridge too far
1. I will never use an SMG (so that I can maintain the perceived* moral high ground in ANY realism debate - gave this up when I got a Sten for a UCAP game, still didn't get any kills though - see point 2)
2. I will never get any kills (see point 1)
* Perceived by me that is.
That's because you were pointing your Sten at the ceiling. I think you take on the roleplay of a conchie which is a unique, comendable and interesting style of WW2 airsofting, and helps maintain your unbroken point 2.
Ha ha yes I think I'll use that excuse myself (I had to look up Conchie).
Actually, I was pointing at the ceiling with the sten without knowing it because I thought you shot smgs from the hip like a movie star.

This is propably closer to truth, as the mobilisation was so rapid and large scale we did not have uniforms, equipment for everybody, so people had come in civvys etc. "Model Cajander".
Also you do realise we had to rounds with the ruskies, one without Germans and one with (the one you lot declared war on us )? The second one during the summer is prob more miltary looking and not random finn civilians armed with rifles, or the iconic Suomi-SMG. But great in the sense you can to it to rebel/partizan-kit in an instant. Regardless, pretty fringe kit for WW2. Even here it is near impossible to fill a faction in a game with players with finn kit, we just usually put them in the same faction as Germans.
If you're intrested, there is an iconic WW2 film about the Continuation War, called "The unknown soldier". I'm sure you can find it and subtitles for it on the internet. Pretty campy, everybody gets shot like they had stroke (grasp at chest), but funny and patriotic.
