Just seen these on RSOV so now we can have a proper zombie game...

Nice looks perfect for the Nazi Zombie game planned for Haloween at the Bunker in Exeter http://www.uczbunker.co.uk/outposthome.html
Careful what you say... zombie game chat has met with the odd bit of derision in the past
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
How about not?

Well, it met with the phrase 'No f&cking zombies' when mentioned for Wotan at UCAP!

I like the idea, but I reckon there would be more takers on a mainstream airsoft forum.
I have to agree with Steve here.
While im massively up for 'weird world war II' as its known games with nazi rocket troops, us power armour and zombies in tunnels i think we've spent three years getting a rep for credible historical skirmishes.
While I think it sounds like fun, said sort of game promoted here really gives our critics extra ammunition to the argument that we're taking the piss with history if you get me.
However point me to a link for an advertised midlands wwii zombie game when im not otherswise working and 'im there'.
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
Now i've got my winchester, i'd much rather do a modern 'shaun of the dead' zombie game, anyway.
Rubber cricket bat, anyone?
Zombie games sounds like fun..Its a nice change, from the more historical/Living history games, that seem to be appearing lately. It will certainly appeal to alot of people. Cant see it hurting, or giving fuel to the fire for critics.
Brings a new side to WW2 Airsoft
I don't see a zombie game creating any fuel for critics at all either. It's just an aside to the regular days that WW2 airsoft orientates towards, and probably a good laugh!
Like BigUK says, it's just something different.
I dunno, if you want to recruit from mainstream re-enacting and get them to try using airsoft AEGs and the like for skirmishing I cant see any one being impressed by an 'escape form castle wolfenstein' game being the first thing they see when they sign up to the boards
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
I wouldn't want to speak on their behalf. Many might enjoy it as a break from their norm.
It's not a game that's officially sanctioned by the WW2 airsoft community; just a take on the already catered-for filmsim stuff that we coined a while back.
As I said earlier in the thread, many of the regulars here won't be into it because their interests lie in the more realistic side of the genre.
Some people might like it though. Different strokes and all that.
Add to it the whole struggle to get RIFs and not have them banned as we need 'realism'
Imagine the court...
Judge: "so why do you need a realistic replica firearm from 1942 Mr Harvey...
Me: "to shoot zombies you honour"
Judge: " cant it be bright orange then so you dont look like a criminal?"
Me: " oh no your honour that would not be realistic"
(for the hard of humour i'm being a bit tongue in cheek there )
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
As much as I favour the realistic side of ww2 airsoft I still love the weirder, more sci-fi type games so would be happy to play a zombie game. I guess my view is if a game is going to be realistic it should be as realistic as possible, if it isn't then it should be totally unrealistic and off the wall for maximum weirdness and laughs.
Although I wouldn't would be happy for a ww2 zombie game I think I would still prefer it in a modern setting. A zombie survival game ala left for dead with basic weapons (pistols, shotguns, bolt actions etc)on an urban site like the mall would be my first choice.

Ooh, zombies in shopping malls, count me in!
How about a game where there are say, zombies on one side, and the other team would be in modern gear, and also set in the here and now (in other words the plot from outpost). Who knows, it might get some of the other teams interested in ww2 airsoft?

I actually think it will work favour of the ww2 genre. Alot of people are put off by ww2 airsoft, being relatively expensive to get into. The rules are somewhat different.
This for me is a kinda half way house. It's world war 2 but with a twist. I'm sure you'll get modern guys asking bout the kit, the weapons the games. It's the perfect advert to recruit more players, that might not consider ww2 airsoft cool enough. With the popularity of zombie/ww2 games growing with the help of cod world at war.
There's never a better time to bring new twist to airsoft.
