It's only gunman who doesn't allow hicaps. Both CiA and PBI (plus all of the other game organisers) allow them. How you carry your ammo allocation is up to you, be it in 12 x 50 round magazines or 2 x 300 round magazines. RSOV has now discontinued the Thompson hicap by the way.

Good for you doing Rangers. There's not a lot of difference between their kit and uniform and that of U.S line infantry, so you've got a much more versatile loadout than if you went for airborne.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Welcome on board.

The 120 round mid-caps are used by quite a lot of us in games, a 5-cell pouch holds enough to cover the usual 600 round limit that most of our games seem to cover. Unless we're doing real cap which is a different kettle of fish again.

I prefer the 120 round mags (because theyre the shorter 20 round in real steel size) which is more commonplace in the US section, however the longer mags (attributed to the high cap and low cap) magazine also look great.

There are a few people who portray 2nd Rangers in CiA, myself being one of them (see 2nd ranger kit guide - thats me) but I play as normal Big Red 1 infantry more.

I was in the Rangers museum in aisy this week. Surprised to see a lot of pics of Rangers toting long 30rd mags and wearing jump boots during the Pointe Du Hoc action so there's wiggle room even in a Ranger load out.

Gunman games will also allow you to use a hi-cap - only one mind! And you can always just not fill it up :good:
