Well, I have done mine at a CiA "event" 
I can do:
German, Heer, private, sergent or colonel. SS, private or major. Luftwaffe, fallschirmjager, sergent.
Russian, private, summer uniform or private, winter uniform.
American, GI, any unit. Captain, 2nd Rangers. Trooper, 101st airborne.
I also recently acquired the Swedish winter coat to do Major Konig from Enemy at the gates.

I've got German Heer, SS and British Airborne. I could do british infantry if I took off the airborne insigna from my BD, although I took the easy option at the il gigio game and wore a shirt and brown woolen jumper with BD trousers, which did fine for an Italian campaign impression.
