I have looked into the (exellent) 'USSR winter' look that is on this website, and am thinking about getting the tunic and/or breeches. I have looked at links but I can only seem to find these:
http://www.epicmilitaria.com/product.ph ... niform-set
and
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RUSSIAN-ARMY-M69- ... 1c15cdef8d
If i'm right, M69 means made in 1969 (probaly wrong but oh well), and the other one is just a generic uniform. Now what do people think? Are they acceptable for a resonable look, or are there better things out there?
Help needed!
The Short answer to the question is - both.
The M69 is acceptable to play with the Ruskies, but there are better things out there. Those are both M69 uniforms.
The seller which we found best to deal with is Schuster.ru - if you type this into google and get it to translate the page that works better than the link.
In his 'USSR uniforms' section there are Breeches and Top for 60 dollars each (with exchange rates this come to 75 quid, so admittedly doubling the price of the epic kit) and given than you can only buy with a bank transfer, and the need to measure yourself for the tayloring, they are more 'intimidating' to deal with. However they are reliable, quick and the finished product is really great. Plus he sells all the other bits and bobs that contribute to looking great
Sorry to be no help at all in clearing up your enquiry but it is a matter of choice really. My suggestion (for what it is worth) is look at Schuster. If you enjoy playing with us (as I am sure you will
) then the chances are you will want the 'nicer' uniform - if not today, then tomorrow.
If you don't fancy bank transfer then this guy on ebay is okay as well.

Schuster is cheaper and better though!
thanks for the help guys!
