Just recieved a pair of BD 1937 trousers today, in the correct size and been told that the rest of the stuff I've ordered is in the country, so around the 11th of march I should have all my start up gear and be ready for a game on the 14th, wuhu.

The trousers does seem awfully baggy though, and to long which seems odd considering that I'm a bloke weighing some 135kgs and standing 196cm, som I'm a bit confused here.

You are wearing them pulled up high enough?

BD trousers are worn 'grandad style' with the waistband under your ribs rather than on your hips like todays trousers.

Gadge: Yup, they sit as high as they can, which is why I don't get it and I can't order a smaller size cause then I won't be able to button them.

I had the same problem, i got them taken in by a tailor, down the inner leg to make the legs narrower.

BD trousers should be baggy on the arse (so that when you crouch and the fabric is taken up , you're rear is still well covered!) and be a bit 'billowing' on the leg (so that you could wear another layer or two under-neither for warmth, and still let air circulate). Usual length of BD trousers should just about touch the floor when worn without boots or anklets on. When your boots go on, and then wrap the bottoms in your anklets, you should still have enough length left for your "2-inch turn-over" (over the top of your anklets).

The same Richard Knight as "Khaki On Campaign"? Does he have a website (other than the show/display website he has) for sales?

Just got my Fat B*stard size Soviet kit from Trident military in the states, and I am well chuffed with it I have to say (although it did lighten my wallet a bit)

a winter padded Telogreika, a M43 tunic and trousers, a size 62 Pilotka (at last a russian cap to fit my giant mutant head), shelter/rain proof cape in horseshoe fashion, Sapogi boots, belt with a PPsh drum mag pouch, canteen, grenade pouch and a gas mask satchel (although it is a 1960's one with a side pocket rather than a WW2 cut). The PPsh41 if the Hexagon model which i got last month.

A very nice touch was the 3 GPW medals they sent with my package for free (probably because I spent so much there!)-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

Looks like a nice haul! I'm awaiting my own super order of Ruskie stuff, coming from HK.

(oh and of course the stuff from FoR which I hope will turn up at some point!)
