A pair of Luftwaffe Tropical Trousers, from Hiki shop, nice material and finish, just a bit darker than others I've seen. Should have had these for gothic line but they turned up a week later and only just got them from my cousin house where they got delivered.
FJ kit almost finished. :giggle:

Armoury: AGM MP40, AGM Sten MkII, K98K/vsr and Maruzen P38.

Ohhh, A WW1 version. Very nice.

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

Resistance is fertile

It's silly hats a go-go here: a Polish cavalry rogatywka (thanks Craig) and a French M1926 Adrian helmet shell. The latter will need a bit of restoration work.

A few bits for Xmas. Another 37 small pack, another pair of mk III pouches and a bren sling so my unbalanced webbing set is largely done plus I can now do the ' close quarter battle' bren pose from the manual.

Also an FJ gas mask bag and David Rowlands ' The stress of battle', OR studies from ww2 and the cold war about the dynamics of small unit warfare.

Cheers
Martin

P.S. female members of the household all want my small pack for a shoulder bag! must be some fashion thing :)

Latest aquisition... ...from TK Maxx of all places!!!

Commando Jumper:

Unlike the photo above, my one actually fits me properly. It also, thankfully doesn't have what looks like silver balls on the end of the drawstrings in that photo.
I got dragged into TK Maxx in Watford by my sister after she went 'sales shopping' and so I broused around the mens stuff and found this nice item from last seasons Polo from Ralph Lauren! It even has correct vegitable ivory buttons and 100% non-shiney cotton patches (unlike the WPG one, on both accounts.) - £60. A bit pricey, but after shipping about the same price as a WPG one, so I'm happy :)

Being in Watford, I also took the oppertunity to buy two Islamic 'long shirts' in the correct colour aertex material for conversion into KD shirts - a full picture-packed guide to conversion will follow soon, for all those who want decent repros of KD shirts for less than £10.

I've already got one, a SOF repro from BaggyPants from which I'll copy the pocket flap dimentions, etc from... ...I was getting them to make for anyone wanting to attend the AGS game in May who didn't have and KD - so yeah, they'll hopefully be for sale. They'll not be perfect repros, but near-as-damn-it (i.e: I don't count SOF or WPG ones to be perfect repros either...). They'll be a generic Large size, that the long-shirts were manufactutred as (my SOF one is over-sized for me, as I think they look good with a bit of baggyness - so may be ideal for a 'medium' size person if a bit of baggyness is wanted).

Ok I'll hopefully be going to the AGS game if my exam time table allows, as it's not far from where I live, so as long as they'll fit a 38 chest with the appropriate baggyness then put me down for one please :good:

An M35 Gymnastiorka and a proper Soviet e-tool cover from HIKI.

From the random lottery of sizes on his website I seem to have picked the right one.

It would have been just in time for Gunmans cancelled game  I can at least use it at Pavlovs House :good:

Cheers
Martin

From last week's Derby Cattlemarket Carboot:

A Brit' WW2 leather tool-case, albeit with its top flap cut off - £1.50!

I saw a pair of S.O.E issue 'Wire Cutters, No.6' and in my disbelievement, didn't buy them, thinking that I was being fanciful and they were actually probably just some very similar looking old-fashioned pruning sheers. Upon getting home and being able to do some photo research, was shocked to find that they were 'Wire Cutters, No.6', so I dashed back down there, albiet too late as the stall had already packed up .
:slap:
Had hoped to find them again this Sunday, but the snowy conditions meant that not as many stalls turned up today, and the stall wasn't there,
but...

...From Derby Cattlemarket Carboot today:

yet another WW2 infantry/GS shovel, in pretty good condition - £2!
