Looks like a very early war water bottle carrier... seen a few pics. I'll check for details at home if I remember. (Don't blanco it until we've identified it)

I'll take some decent pictures when it arrives, but as far as using kit for airsoft goes, i'll only be using repro or common as muck gear. Anything unusual/rare can go in my collection or to someone who'll appreciate it.

Llooking closer at those pics I'd say the pouches are the supplementary bren ones, not the normal utility pouches (Its the wide strap coming out of the top). If thats the case then I've seen them go for over

I thought that wide strip was the web belt rich.
Simple way to find out

when you get em evo could you see if the pouches have metal clips on the back or canvas loops?

It could be, but it looks just like the shoulder/neck strap for the supplementary pouches. It comes out of the top of each pouch. The only other strap in the pic could easily be the strap that goes under the arms.

Edit: Ah... the text mentions a belt... it'll be a belt then ;)

The entrenching tool cover is late/post war type.

The seller said about half of the kit was war dated, with the rest undated/postwar. i'll be sure and put up some better pics or it all when it arrives.

I think yith means that the e-tool cover has a helve retaining strap (these are sometimes falsely referred to as 'airborne pattern', did see some limited service in the war and the only difference is the press stud on retainer strpa, nobodies gonna notice and it saves you losing the handle.

If i could find a cheap one of hose i'd probably use it out of preference.

It seems ages since I've posted on here... I'm getting withdrawal symptoms from no new bits of old stuff...

I've been saving myself for Beltring you see... I'm expecting to spend quite a bit this weekend, lol!
