Just got this through today

Took a fair bit of filing and sanding to fit though.

Got these through today, super quick. Really impressed with the quality of the bayonet. Nice blued steel and lovely grain on the wood handle. Gas mask tin is nice too. Still figuring out a way to wear it without it knocking against my other kit too much.

My webley arrived today, hoping it won't chrono too hot so I can play with it on Saturday.

Why do you always carry that umbrella?
-Bad memory. Never could remember the password. Knew no Jerry would carry one. Had to prove I was an Englishman, you see.

A set of M1938 suspenders turned up out of the blue. I assume it's the set Hikishop didn't send in my last order - some 4 months ago.

McV, that might be the coolest ww2 thing I've seen.

I am rediculously jealous.

Thats BEAUTIFUL, extremely jealous, i've never seen one like it!

For those of you previously drooling over my map drafting set; here's one on eBay for far cheaper than you'd be able to buy the component parts for!

Fliegerbluse and field cap arrived today from Mr Richard Underwood. The fliegerbluse is very smart, even the wife thought it looks good on me. Very nice.

Is it regulation for the officers to have grumpy faces while the other men smile?

Very much interested in seeing that. I did fancy getting a French uniform myself a few month ago.

As am I, the look of WW1 issue leather pouches and repainted M15 helmet with the WW2 uniform is particularly appealing to me.
I quite like the slight obsoleteness of it all.

Exactly. This is what attracted me to the early war games in the first place, specially the French uniform's. Its what made me choose italy, despite the relatively up to date helmet, it had the long putties, appalling leather webbing and a terrible rifle. All of course part of the nostalgia.
