It was well worth the wait. That stock is beautiful when you see it in person.
Now I need to pull my finger out and sort out that curved magazine.

medic bag was a impulse buy

A selection of Bayonets from Shoot n Scoot. Thanks Warren!
Wow! I'm guessing it comes apart into easily transportable and storable pieces? Will we be seeing it at any reenactment or airsoft events in the near future?
Paid £80 for this beaut including the wood furniture
Bargain! Very nice indeed

It is going to be at fireball as a fixed location
Nothing too fancy here, just a straightforward KWC Luger P08 blowback. My first automatic to compliment the Webley for those situations where you just need to keep on shooting...
However it is going to go in to its chrysalis/my workshop and hopefully come out a beautiful P04 Naval Luger at some point!

A few bits from Epic. Some of the new repro British (long) puttees, a couple of cap badges, a pair of German artillery shoulderboards for Vierville and a pair of their Schuster Russian infantry shoulder boards.
The puttees are fine although the tapes are even shorter than the ones on my short puttees, they should stay up better than my Russian cloth ones.
The shoulder boards are a bit of a disappointment though as they are the huge 'land an aircraft on them' type with a hard inner core, and I've got a pair of those already. I'd hoped they would be in soft material all over and the same dimensions as my strawberry everyday shoulder boards. They are however better than nothing with an M43 jacket.
Cheers

Getting ready for Vierville, an M1 lid picked up for £10 at War and Peace:
Bit of camo, a field dressing and it kinda looks the part!
Wait a minute... is that a 1:1 scale model of the old Airfix 1:76/1:72 Forward Command Post? It's got all the same holes and bits missing, and it even looks like it's got the sandbags to go with...
yup , we may add the flag pole and other bits to it when we have time
not made by us though lol we just bought it from the guys that did make it
Now in its new home.
We still have work to do on it, like lining the inside with ply and adding window sills to protect our lovely guns. We then need to add to the surroundings, but we have plans..... It is playable though.
The guys did a fantastic job of recreating it.
Great. Cant wait to have the first fight over it.
Great. I fought endlessly over that with Airfix Commando and German figures using the old Paragon skirmish rules.
In other news of new things: I recently acquired pair of artillery Leutnant shoulderboards for Vierville.
Cheers

Looks excellent, can't wait for the next event that you chaps run and the chance to defend/attack it
Been picking up stacks of Fallschrimjager kit to replace the heer/ss stuff I used to mix and match. Got myself a nice Underwood smock, seems to be a smoother material than my old Sturm one and the snaps seem a lot firmer.
Also got myself a gorgeous pair of Polish made low boots. I'm still on the lookout for jump boots in my size but these will do for garrison and late war use and I can use them for my ss kit.
A tan 43 or 44 dated (stamp a little unclear) commando bergen, been after one for ages. It came with a British army wool blanket, with 3 black stripes down the middle.
The bergen is very comfy to wear, I think I might use it as a general backpack if the need arises. Apart form 3 little holes (no bigger than an inch), a couple of small seam splits and a little bit of grubbiness, it's in very good condition. All the straps are present, in good order and complete. Very, very chuffed with it.
