Just picked up from the post office: 2x 190 rnd short M1A1 hicaps from harborne blue. One to convert my other cyma drum mag, and one as a spare.

DM... you'll need some pouches for those drum mags next..

Sabre have tons of lewis gun mag pouches that they should fit in.

I was going to ask if anyone knew whether they'd fit! Might pick a couple up then!

Will they not be absolutely massiv ecompared to tommy drums, i though a lewis mag was about eight or nine inches diameter?

Well I was told that, the lewis gun pouches were the ones used for them..

I bought 2 from sabre when I was there, but haven't tried them for size yet...

I will remember!

You're right the Lewis mag is just over 8" the thompson drum mags are 6 3/4" for the 50 rnd and 8 3/4" for the 100 rnd, so the 50 rnd ones will be a rattle fit and the 100 rnd ones will be very tight if they fit at all.

Well when you think about 2 years ago you would pay £170 for a plastic TM AK47 with chocolate gear sets these are great value under £100 each mostly steel and they take a 2200 NMH battery, shoot 200 foot or more. So better distance than a stock TM Thompson for £200.

They were designed for use by Russian tank crews  ok not WW2 I know.

However when you think about the above and the fact that at some point I may still start my own site, £86 full metal AKSU's will make kick ass hire guns and they will never be so cheap again!

The Dboys RK01 is the best buy in my opinion.

Sorry could not get anymore on the bed

Not that any of you care about the umpteenth lens I've bought for my Leica camera...but I've got another one....

This time it's a 35mm wide-angle Elmar lens from 1935 (according to the serial number).

I guess I've got enough now....hmmm those 105mm lenses look pretty nice too.
