Hi guys.
Just wondering if anyone of you owns a ICS GARAND, You probably notice the small difference from the original, like: gas cylinder, Trigger, Sling swivel ecc..
My project is to fully convert the ics in a cooler and mutch realistic GARAND ( AEG ) using parto of the real gun.
just whant to hear your opinions and if anyone tried before me !
CHEERS !

For those of us not too familiar with the Garand, it would be a great help if you could post some side-by-side comparisons between the ICS "Not-Garand" and a real Garand? It'll go a long way towards appreciating your work.

I don't have picture at the moment, but i do have the link of a friend's blog. Probably you know it as well !

http://m1pencil.wordpress.com/2013/07/0 ... -garand-2/ Here is giving a 1st look at the rifle. You can see the gap between the gas cylinder and the barrel, trigger guard and group is late WWII ( KOREA )

http://m1pencil.wordpress.com/2013/10/1 ... l-pimping/ in this one he's showing how simple is to change the sling swivel ( OVERSIZED )

this is a good start.

Then i've been around ebay looking for spares and that's what i found... quit good price, with about 100$ you can make your garand look real

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261620663605? ... EBIDX%3AIT ( That's just an example of a gas cylinder... even POST WWII, still same ) for sure better than the ics one !

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381013568000? ... EBIDX%3AIT ( sling swivels... not mutch to say compared to the ics one )

I will be nice to change even the stock, but is gonna take long time for various modifications, from mag catch. to wires and motor !
