Hmmm, sounds like the press release would be along the lines of 'dangerous weapon on the loose' rather than 'please help this chap get his property back'. They wouldn't put out a press release for a stolen car!

It didn't have any mags so it is next to useless and it would be hard for the layman to source one.

If they MUST.

Lots of repetition in the release about how it's a replica imitation firearm that is COMPLETELY incapable of being converted into a live firer.

In fact I'd avoid the use of the word airsoft. It'll be easily misconstrued by the press and the public into 'airgun'.

Try to make them stick to the "Second World War realistic imitation firearm used to historical reenactment purposes" line with reassurances that it cannot be converted to fire bullets in any way. The public will understand that.

If they want to include a picture make sure use on of the gun only on a blank background to remove any context with a particular person, or group of people; or type of person!

The media will want to run the "guns on our streets" line.....especially in rural Hereford.
