Looking for some assistance on a project I'm working on at the moment - looking for a nice individual that would be happy of the potential loan of their deact MG34 top cover (with feed mechanism), feed tray and bipod so I can take some measurements and modelling against. Would be content to cover postage via courier in both directions (or pick up in person if that was preferred and local to Lincolnshire/Notts areas) and also buy a beer or compensate monetary for the time parts spent away (which wouldn't be any more than a week and a half at worst case scenario).

I've attempted to get accurate measurements from various sources however doesn't compare to having the item in hand to reference against despite having many detailed reference books to work with. Any help would be appreciated short of me having to locate a full deact again.

Hi, I don't know if this might help if your intending to make an MG34. I made one a few years back. Here's the thread on the build. unfortunately a lot of the pics are gone. I'm sure I've still got them if you're interested.

I still have the 100% scale blueprint plans as pdf's that I used to build it. I found the blueprint drawing on the web and made up the drawings to 100% on A3 sheets at work. I printed them out on A3 paper and taped them together and worked off them. The drawings don't go right to the edge of the paper when runout, so just butte them together and sellotape them together. I still have the plans on my mac at work. I will post them up on this thread tomorrow. They should give you the virtually exact measurements for a build. You should be able to take the pdfs to your local ProntoPrint and get them printed out as A3 sheets, then stick them together.

Here's the 100% scale pdfs for reference. Hope they're of some use.

@Razorlight many thanks for that - I'd actually seen those prints from people making Star Wars props however am taking my project in a slightly different direction of putting together but thanks all the same for linking your project.
