was roaming around the internet regarding Zelts uses etc and found this. Now they are really committed. Remember doing this for real in 1982 in training with Pattern 58 webbing. :slap:
Enjoy

There is something ridiculous about wearing just issue underpants and a helmet!

Anyhoo, you have your chance to copy them - you have a stream to cross on the 2nd April. Old 'Un won't want to get his feet wet so you will have to construct a zelt raft for him. At least you know how now.

ive seen shorts at an airsoft event i thought that was brave but wearing just a banana hamok under fire is braver than i am
seriouse detailed kit there though and it really makes a more realistic image, appart from the photo quality it's verry easy to to really imagine they are real period germans. :good:

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......

That is pretty hardcore. So, forewarned is forearmed, do I need to bring my swimming trunks ot Hauptmann Horn? I suppose Luftwaffe ones are a different pattern to Heer, and I can't begin to imagine what SS ones would be like.

Cheers

The FJ were issued both LW and Heer pants, and it would not be uncommon to see a great mix within a unit - especially late in the war - as they made use of what was available.

SS pants are a very contusions issue, with the bespoke Peadot Y-Fronts being issued very late in the war (if at all). Remember, just because it is sold by SoF or Fascist Fetish Panties does not make it historically accurate.

They would be good for hiding the skid marks though

So do we have any takers (not P** takers) for a Hauptmann Horn river crossing :?: I must have a warped sense of humour or maybe there is some subliminal message some where but when I think of those tight swim trunks I think of Lt Gruber trying to entice Renee in for a swim  Is that normal :?:

Hmm, have to think about that, depends how wide and deep it is. Not sure I want to drop all my gear into a freezing Welsh river, although I don't suppose it will be any wetter than Day 2 of 'Devils Hill'.

It will of course be very amusing if the Home Guard catch all the FJ pratting around in the river wearing their only pants and helmets. :giggle:

I was careful to use the word 'stream' not 'river'. You may judge it more expedient to tiptoe across with Old 'Un on your back rather than full scale zelt rafting. But meh, whatever floats your boat.
