Do you long for a WW2 experience that reaches the parts other games do not reach?
Is your average skirmish not enough?
Do you want to try and experience what a 1940's infantryman went through?
Good! Then read on........
The idea is that if the above applies to you or your group, then by adding your name(s) to this register of like minded players, organisers can see who and how many players are interested in this type of game format.
This is not my team or organisation. I'm not trying to run things! But what I am trying to do is help get this type of game off the ground and established as it is something I want to play :good:
So, if you are interested in a more emersive type of game play and want more out of a game than emptying countless mags at ww2 uniforms, simply reply with your forum name stating that you are interested. Hopefully, we may get some significant numbers which may help get a game on!
Thanks for reading guys!

I am interested. This is why I joined WWII airsoft in the first place. I like props, tactical game, command structures, things that get you closer to the experience.
Happy to travel far for a good game.

I'm interested ,as long as there is an element of combat then in happy to spend hour's digging in a position ,mine clearing ,phone line laying, gathering intel through stealth etc .
I do want to enjoy it though ,by this i mean i'm not really interested in personal suffering ,long marches ,sleeping in ditches ,48 hours without sleep etc ,i'd have loved that sort of thing as a teenager but now not so much.

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

The immersive stuff is why I do WW2 Airsoft, so put me down. Like Dadio, a spot of shooty shooty is nice, but I'll happily spend hours laying phone cables, digging trenches, carrying messages, observing enemy activity, having a brew, fruitlessly searching the woods for Hauptmann Horn, trying to light a fire in a dank freezing forest while Wladeck plays his accordian etc.

Night missions, in game camping etc is fine too as long as it is safe, I'm even up for roughing it from time to time (gutted I can't make Grafton Park). Staying awake for 24 hours is out though.

Cheers

Stick me down Johnny, I am generally in favour of more niche games, of course can't make all games but if you think it will help get some of these of the ground I'm in :good:

Excellent start guys. Don't worry about the dynamics of the games as yet. That's down the line a bit. What we need is names declaring interest. From that we can then open the way to see how a game will look. I'm sure a game can be diverse and cater for more than just one preference. Say the Albany scenario, it could be that the organisers identify 12 players wishing to play through the night and support that whilst the others adopt a more orthodox approach. I doubt anyone wants to be beasted all weekend and it's about experiencing the life not actually living it! So, let's get some momentum and recruit. Pm mates in case they've missed this and get them to register :good: this WILL work if we put our efforts behind it! :happyswing:

Aye. But I won't organise it.

Happy to lend advice and guidance though, having run several games like this in the past. (Jedburgh, Churchill, Schaulen, Bryansk)

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Yeah, put me down.

Squad based games that look on lone wolfing as blasphemy. Mission focused with lots to do, be it laying telephone lines as Dadio said, reconnaissance of an enemy position, or engaging the enemy directly. It's the quality of the fire fight, not the quantity.

This pretty much sums up my idea of a perfect WWII game. While I don't want constant firefights the threat of combat should feel omnipresent even when you're performing auxiliary tasks.

Stick me down.

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

Whilst researching neo nazi groups (honest! ) in history last year, I came across an American group who only accepted gay members. I wonder if this is of their doing?

I think the stiletto jackboots are a nice touch, though they may be difficult to find repros of...
