Fantastic Andy! :good:

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

Yes, those are very good, love both uniforms, especially like the 7th AD shoulder tabs.

Cheers

They say the safest place in the house is under the stairs.

That's what my Nan was told too. Unfortunately her faith in HM Propaganda was shattered the first time the Luftwaffe had a pop at St Peters, Broadstairs. Everyone in the village went to have a good gawp at a pile of rubble with an utterly knackered and clearly not-safe-place staircase perched on top of it

See, it was still there when all else was gone!
Heh, I seem to remember that Tony Robinson bomb program also bore testament to the security of the staircase (relative of course) as the staircase is a strong structure like door lintels. No use in a direct hit of course, but security from falling roofs/debris and a strong possibility of being dug out from.

Essentially a triangle, very strong structurally.
Staircase and chimney breasts/stacks seem to survive.

well, yes... but when the "all else" part includes the previous occupants you're not really very far forward :giggle:

First attempt at a impression, Rottenführer, 10th SS Panzer Division Frundsberg. Needs to get some dirt on it, but on the whole i'm pretty pleased with how its going so far...

Very good, Matt. :good: Nice to see a mix of Feldgrau and camo - it doesn't have to match to be authentic!
