This picture is why we should never have let those colonials have independance in 1776.
if we weren't having that spat with the little French fellow then we could have concentrated on the lesser colonies a bit more, mind you the timing couldn't be better to go and re-take america, most of their army is off in that hot headed place called Afghanistan, and we could really do with the back taxes.

Damn, thats a nice Mosin
Still would rather have a traditonal one though, but atleast its a mosin, and not a rarer rifle.

My Late War, Panzer Grenadier, Heer impression out for a spin on Sunday.
My kit is well manky now after 4 years of ownership: Dusty, worn and lived in. No more just-off-the-peg-look left!

Finally got my basic Heer Panzergrenadier impression (roughly) up together, just waiting on my tunic insignia, shoulder boards and correct cap insignia (I bought the cap second hand with SS insignia on)
Planning on getting the collar tabs velcro backed so I can switch from early war pink piping to late war grass green, has anyone else done anthing like this?
Fieldgrey, Rifle, simple webbing... What's not to like.

A simpler solution would be to just wear generic litzen and then you can switch between infantry, panzergrenadier and panzerschutzen just by swapping shoulderboards. Also I wouldn't recommend wearing the y-straps under the boards as it makes it a pain to take them off and will probably result in you ripping one of them off. Otherwise it looks good so far.

Absolutely - generic Litzen was made from 1938 onwards.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Thanks for the postivie words guys, I've tried to make sure it's all accurate

In that case expect to see a pair of collar tabs in the for sale section soon
Last Sunday was the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Bataan. Our small (and i think the only one in the country) reenactment group staged a short reenactment of the Battle of Abucay line, a great but short lived victory of the Philippine Scouts, Philippine Army, and USAFFE against the initial assaults of the Japanese Army. All guns used were airsoft except for theJapanese heavy machine gun and the resin arisakas. A soundtrack and a professional pyro team(same guys that did the pyro for the Borne Legacy shooting here)helped with the immersion. In the audience were 3 amazing veterans of the Philippine scouts and their families. Incidentally, also in the ranks of the Phil Army is Filipino-briton Jason Write (member of Panzer-Lehr) from Kent.

Gave some modern airsofters a run for their money at an open day yesterday. I'm wearing a 'painted to look like a face' facemask if you wondered
US Gear isnt my thing, but that lot looks pretty good to me!
I know I only posted recently with all my kit but I couldn't resist
Need to sort out my webbing to fit a little better, and get some belt hooks to stop everything shifting around. That aside I quickly found that feldgrau is immensely warm!

all wool ww2 kit is nice and warm to put it mildly and the German webbing is a right pain, almost a 2 man job to get on without it all falling appart, the belt hooks help a bit but then its hard to take off without it snagging on them

Lost it whilst moving (it was a ski cap) literally moments before the picture was taken
I'm in the middle. Decided to blur our faces out since it was actually a really horrible photo and we looked like idiots.
No specific loadout choice. I just threw some crap together and called it good... those are OD BDU pants with a British general service OG field shirt. Note also the USMC leggings with my trusty roughouts, one of which gave out at this game after 2 and a half years of faithful service (hence the duct tape holding it together). The guy on the left is an African mercenary and the guy on the right is IDF; everyone at the game just thought we were Viet Cong, though.

Belt hooks can be a bit of a pain. You just need to make sure your belt is tight, really tight and actually goes around your waist (between the second and third buttons up from the bottom). Grasp both ends of the belt firmly to make sure everything doesn't fall off as you pick it up.
It is often easier to put the y-straps in seperately, just flip the back strap over and clip it on behind your back, then attach the front clips.
Cheers
