If Ranj is anything to go by the partisan look is way "cooler" than the red army - Olive Drab is so last season.

 Wow, you could get your tailor to take all those in and make a spare uniform out from the left over material.

Looking pretty good so far mate.

I'd lose the wings of the denison, next to no glider troops were jump trained and I have yet to see *any* with three operational jumps that allowed them to wear the wings on the breast.

(its also going to save you a world of hassle from the 'dont wear wings you havnt earned' brigade.)

If you have to wear them they should really be on your right sleeve.

Only the sas wore them on the breast and that was for lads who'd dropped, fought and returned.

Unless I'm mistaken (its a very dark pic) and they are GPR wings - either way glider troops 99 per cent of the time sans wings.

Other than that cracking impression.

yes they are indeed para wings that I have yet to earn, fed up with waiting for my keith hong kong blouse to arrive so i can start sewing on the patches!
photo quality poor due to being taken in a torrential rainstorm with the camera set at lowest resolution as i have had problems uploading high res piccies from my apple onto these forums.
will get some done on sat in daylight with tim"s sten and "musketry order"
still counting down the days till I get my no4! almost bought a tanaka k98 yesterday as they feel pretty damn usable!- now if only tanaka would build a load of No4's!

Yeah but the point i'm trying to make mate is that they are highly unlikely to have been worn by an officer of the ox and bucks who were glider trained.

Its unlikely you'd para train an officer to put him in a glider role.

Also they go on your sleeve not your breast.

On the breast is an operational SAS thing.

Personally I'd leave them off unless you're doing an SAS or para impression as it just looks wrong.

I've *never* seen breast/sas wings on a glider soldier.

Its a bit like sewing your pegasus patches on backwards. Not important if you dont care about looking right and just want to wear pegasus but still wrong. :)

Essentially you got paid more if you were para trained and you were also really valuable so the odds of you being in a non para unit were incredibly slim (read next to non existent), why not badge up as a para instead if you've got para trousers and wings (although they would still need putting on your sleeve not your breast)?
