Why Sunday? That means you have to go to work tomorrow.

Today I am in charge of the entire marketing department office. Unfortunately its literally just the office I'm in charge of- I'm the only one here.... :slap:

Today.................I ended up shouting down the phone at a well known engineering supply company for selling me the biggest piece of shit 5" 3 jaw chuck in the world - and it weren't cheap. 0.01mm runout? yeah, right. 0.fucking7mm runout more like it

And yes, I know its pure laziness. Prefer 4 Jaw independants for accuracy, but for speed....difficult to beat a 3 jaw.

Decided to do something with the Carbine Folding Stock that's been sitting around for a while now

It's not 100% finished I still need to get it to sit a little further into the stock and get the handguard to sit a little lower but I'm reasonably happy with it.

Although it's not easy to see it has an early front band and I've got a flip up rear sight to fit as well.

There was absolutely nowhere we could hang it unfortunately.

But we will of course bear that in mind next time. It hadn't occurred to me.

...collected my British War-dated 'JAP 4/2' powered stationary engine/generator/"Charging Unit No.5". Fitted into the back of the ol' Astra-Of-Joy with no problems, except that it's definately a two-man lift with the addition of the civilian-made I-beam chassis that's been bolted to it's base. That's coming off right away!

Today I, (well Wednesday actually), got my permanent contract at work, which I knew was coming, what I didn't know was coming was a 40% pay increase  so I'm currently in a very good mood :D

:good: Nice one, Pete.

Watched Shakira wiggle her arse for the umpteenth time this past month. It never gets boring. Only 6 more weeks of wiggly bum to go.

Flag looks nice and artistic, but It shouldnt be touching the ground.

Guy's, can you tell me about the backpack frame you have lent up against the table just on the righthand edge of the shot? I have one of these but assumed it was a post war Korea/Vietnam item. I'm now guessing its not or it wouldn't be part of your display! :giggle: what was it used for exactly?

Edit: Google has revealed it's a general purpose frame carrier and you just tie on whatever you want to carry! Interesting!

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

The cartoon guide says it can carry a piano, but Dean won't try it to amuse me (an transport my piano places), meanie :(

Though yes, that is it and what it does, that one is Dean's and it is dated 1944, I believe, but I always forget such details. Our one is actually missing the 'bottom bit' (details again) which would make carrying heavy things on it tricky, plus it might have been re-strapped. I can't remember, how useless of me.

I could go and check, but it is one room, the books in another and I am on a comfy chair and terribly lazy.

Cheers, :good: 1944 Packboard is I believe its official description. It looks identical to the one I have! same straps, and mine has no metal shelf either. I must inspect it for date stamps!

Today, I am drying out all my kit. Not since Churchill's Revenge has my kit been so wet! Thankfully, the sun is out, and hopefully the smell of wet leather will be gone.
