WW2 Weapons AGM Sten, AGM MP40
... repaired my garand that was shooting all the time when you put the battery on.
After thinking it must be a short or a blown mosfet, it turns out all it was was the trigger contact return spring coming off one of the posts.
signed off work for a week with a torn muscle in my back and right groin
Ooh, nasty. Take it carefully, old chap.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Put together about 5 IKEA cabinets. Doesn't sound like much , but that was ~5 hours work!
Got my new sidecar combi MOT'd and then registered at the DVLA. Both without a hitch!
Γ’β¬ΕI wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So donΓ’β¬β’t think I marched there for this reason Γ’β¬β it could carry another name Γ’β¬β but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take Γ’β¬β and you know Γ’β¬β we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942
"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Today I....
Went to the South Bank. Home to The London Eye, that marvel of engineering that's been disappointing tourists since 1997. This was the original site for the Festival of Britain in 1951 with its Skylon and a great big dome full of stuff to gawk at that pre-dated Mandelson's monstrosity by almost 50 years. I did another version of the "ghosts of.." photoshop shenanigans.

today i have been mostly re blancoing my webbling with shoot n scoot blanco before invadeing germany in a little over a week and serviceing my no4 and coaxing her upto 470fps.

I rebuilt the engine on my 1949 Sunbeam.quite satisfying having it start on the first kick
, what's not is suspecting that having spent 3 days stripping it down and rebuilding her, that the actual reason she was oiling up was that the 4 quid condenser I bought to cure the initial misfire was also faulty and I may have misdiagnosed the running problem. ![]()

Ooooh, whatcha got Sandy? S7 or an early S8? Or something more uncommon?
My uncle's got 3 Sunbeams (one S7 and two S8s), and my dad and I are really into our BSAs
