A 1949 S8 registered 13th june 1949 , and a 1956 Bsa C12 ( bought for the missus) and a 1943 WLA ,which is sadly still in a thousand pieces ( bit of an exaggeration , I don't think Harleys have a thousand parts)
Just come back from a week touring round Jersey on them.

I thought it was going to be an MP18, from the thin bolt handle slot and odd-shaped shell ejection port, but then I noticed there's 10 ventilation holes per row, and I think an MP18 only has 8 per row....

...hmmm - I'm stumped then. Perhaps a Sterling/Pratchett, their receivers are rather similar :?:

Unfortunately, like the MP18 (of which it was a copy), the Lanchester only had 8 vent holes

Ordered a new element hop unit a Vanaras tight bore to fit in my MP40, which I just finished fitting a MOSFET, new gears, bushings, shime's and a rewire. Plus a new 125% spring for my VSR/K98.
Also fitted a MOSFET in my PPSH.

Started lots of sewing on my new M40 tunic. Over the next few days, I will have done Tresse, BeVo Litzen, chest eagle, moved the Kragenbinde buttons and reinforced all other buttons.

Yeah, not as often as i'd like, and it's a bit of a drive, but it's a start. hopefully i can get all the parts made up when i can get access, then braze them together at home.

Cheers for the help btw, it's all your fault i've started on this!

Cheers, thanks! I'm going with MP5 mags, though i might mod them to make the mag release easier to fabricate, as i only need to make enough for myself.

i thought of useing a cutting jig to mod the mags to make the catch easier but decided that the jig could get lost over time or the guns might get sold on etc etc so i went with the standard mag,the other alternative is to gut genuing mags it you only need a few.
oh and today im dying my denim bdu because i didnt like the bright green colour, somewhat nervouse about what colour they come out as im mixing die's and the original colour.hopeing they look good enough to use at the weekend.

That's the route I'm planning when it gets to the top of my tuit list.
Don't need a jig if you have a milling machine with DRO. ;)

Well, yesterday, I blancoed webbing and checked the No4.

Today I put the webbing together and paraded around my bedroom for a bit.

Tonight I will sew a Bren Gunner patch and 2nd Infantry Brigade AoS stripes on my battledress.

All in preparation for invading Germany on Saturday. Can't wait.

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.

finally finished re building my mates #$x!#; piece of @#xt chinese fu@~ing type 89 3rnd burst pile of ~#=k .never again,i must have stripped and built 100s of gearboxes and ive never had that mutch undiluted grief.dont know if the tm one is any bette inside but i hope so.wires snapped ,spade connectors broke ,the sector gear broke(for no reason) and the trigger switche started to bind .i only had to re-wire it to the rear,it must have taken 10 houres to get it working again.never, ever even think about getting a clone with the 3rnd burst and if you have one and it decides to fire full auto only my advice if to accept it,rise above it but never even think about opening that box of joy unless it fails to fire alltogether.i seriously lost my cool and had to walk away 3 times . :!: :!: :!: :!:
