I replaced them with my socks, towels and shirts as a filling ;)

The Haversack needs some small detail adjustments. Like loosing those Brit-straps and moving the tent-roll a bit more down.

I jest, very nice - now have fun wearing it :D

To be honest, it wasn't that uncomfortable to have it on your shoulders. Only heavy..... no pain no gain...

It always nips me... I think it has just been so long since I set it up I have to do it again.

That was the second match, the first was at the Detling show some years back.

Went to the Yorkshire Wartime Experience...

And then went for a pub lunch, then went in a canoe, then had an ice cream - just so it did not feel like a bit of a waste of a day.

Their website did oversell it somewhat, I did enjoy seeing a reproduction panzer 3 roll around though :D

went to check out a woodland site, with a view to using it as an airsoft site, whilst running down the hill side, i saw a hugh cowpat and thought," that wouldn't be nice to fall in to" at which point i slipped both feet in the air and landed on my back in a different cowpat.

mobile phone in one hand, camera in the other i just had to land on my back to avoid trashing either item.

so cowpats, need to go in the risk assessment, and safety brief :(

Didn't know S&S made K98s

Do you have any pictures? Is it a spring rifle?

Replaced my EKII ribbon with a War Mert Cross with Swords 2nd class ribbon, after having read Bedsnherts excellent "Medals and Awards" article again.

Separated and organised all my kit into separate boxes so as to enable quick deployment into the boot of the car with minimal messing about.

Rathe than the previous system of it all being rammed into a wardrobe without any rhyme or reason!

Get me. :spam:

Heh... it works until you start using some stuff in several impressions.

Then you end up with the complete tip which is my re-enactment/airsoft room...
