i cant take the credit for the idea ,its a well known mod that uses mp7 100 rnd mid caps ,MAG mid caps are best, you just file or sand them to be thin enough to fit into the mp44 mag case (easy as the MAG mid caps are all plastic) then file the side nearest the feed hole so it lines up then drill the securing pin hole ,fit the pin and a little packing and you'r done.

cool i did it another way for The Führer's Escape with packing foam and tape in the mag.how and where did you find them mp7 mags? im thinking of doing this mod but having both sets avalable 30rnd and 100rnd?
also here is the other method for making permanent mids with original feed lips
evike sell them but you need to get "MAG" branded ones or they may be different internally.i couldent use the packing method as i want to use it at gunman games and he's got a rule that hi-caps can only shoot semi no matter their capacity, but i can convert them back in only 2-3 minuites if needed.
also today i cut down a mag for my tercel mouser m712 (broom handle) because they only supply the long ones and the gun wont fit in the holster with a long mag in it ,meaning that its not exactly a quick draw(fumble in a mag).the new mag only holds 6 rounds but it fits in the holster so its ready to go when needed. very fiddly milling job, took nearly half a day to do but sealed up gas tight first time thank god.

Today I attended a house to do a quote and found a 1940's themed room filled with deactivated weapons and memoribilla. These included a Lee enfeild, Kar 98, Mosin Nagant, ppsh, sten and a fabulous Bren gun amonst others. I was amazed at how heavy the Bren gun was you would have to be young and fit to lug that around all day, the chap also showed me a winter trigger that clips on the Kar 98 never seen those before.
A quick look in to price some work ended with a long stay chatting and playing with his guns

I think thy are shorter ones

Yes, they weigh about twice as much as the Airsoft ones, and those are heavy enough. I was fortunate enough to handle a DP Light Machinegun last year too, they also weigh a ton, more so with a full drum magazine.

Heh, just wait until you try a Vickers or a Maxim.

Absolutly, the Bren after all was a Light Machinegun. I think a Vickers is best left to those Arnie types
Today I spotted King Arms M1a1 Thompsons are on sale on Action Hobbies for £110.

I bought several years ago Samurai-branded short mags to my Mauser, but I think it needs some luck to find those anymore.
Today I.... took the hessian cover off my Mark V helmet and tried it on my Mark II as a trial for the Crete game.
I made two interesting discoveries. Firstly that 30 year old electrical tape is still very sticky and secondly that my Mark Vs previous owner was called 'Joe' as he'd neatly paint his name in white highlighted with black on the rear facing.
I also took delivery of two '20 round' TM Thompson magazines. Thank you very much Firesupport pre-Christmas prize draw.
Cheers

Not only I, but we had one hell of a Bastgone game in Belgium; including snow showers
went on first site visit for possible event later this year looks very promising
Unearthed my old mk2, filed and sanded the old patchy paint that I could salvage and primed it ready for sandy colour. Also fitted my rs 1928 furniture to my Thompson, making a attempt on a upper receiver today!

The attack continues despite the weather conditions
Squeezing off another round at the incoming Germans
German moral stays high. The attack on Bastogne is resumed
