...did a lot of unpicking and sewing. Thankfully, Frau Steiner took pity on my slow pace and finished off my officer's collar tabs.

Did you do the usual trick -
'Ah that's great dear, thank you. Except they are upside down...'
then
* Ducks to avoid incoming *

Not exactly 'Today I...' but more 'Last night I....' (it's OK - it's a clean posting for once!)

I was so chuffed with my zelt tent that I erected in the garden yesterday that I decided to camp out last night  . Brilliant! OK, it didn't rain so I couldn't test the waterproofing but I sat up and read by storm lantern - something I can't do in the pup tent as that is a hands and knees job - and loads of room for kit too. I'm very tempted just to use this for Haggard (but have the pup tent in the car just in case  ).

Hmm, despite my promise of a clean post I can spot a couple of double-entendres there 8)

Welcome to zelt Camping Dave - If CR weekend hadn't been so wet underfoot/underzelt I would have quite happily used the zelt tent all weekend - the brit canvas tent I used after being flooded out was at least dry, but hands and knee's only was a pain.

I might re-proof my zelts later today, if it stays dry outside

Well, last night actually - gave my new jackboots a coating of dubin - soles as well. They're now out in the evening sun, to soak it all up.

Well, you get out what you put in - a coat of dubin doesn't take much time to apply, but is well worth it.

Just waterproofed my two Zelts.... :D

Trying to find suitable armband material (light green cotton) as I've completed the transfers for reichsbahn/reichspost. Need to get RB one done for friend for belters :D (and for levisham) and RP for Delting.

Really need to finish the muumuu, think I'll sew the collar on tonight, pin the pockets on, get Che to help me pin the hem  not sure if thats a good idea, and sew the eagle on, oh yes and the darts and waistband, oh and the buttons and holes ffs whose idea was it to make one :?

Other than that I have mostly been at work and been smelly :D

Today I went back to work after spending the last 10 days in Portugal.

To say today was slightly rubbish is an understatement akin to calling the Pacific a bit of water...

*wishes he was back at the Villa and sat by the pool, instead of being sat at a desk in the office  *

Oh, and I booked in for Op Husky (finally) and I can't wait!
