The guy who runs it is a total cock!

LOL is that Senior Manning or the guy who runs the paintball aspect ;)

Nice effort though Heide! I can imagine that was somewhat satisfying!

I'll leave that to your imagination. Safe to say, I've had a good relationship with the real site owners for 23 years now.

Cheers Matt, yes, it was pretty satisfying. It was 50 a side and not much room to move, so I was a bit outgunned but I gave a good account of myself, in spite of being unable to run much and the games being totally linear, multiple regen blatfests, with a lot of Systemas, minimis and an awful lot of "warm" chinese guns. Got a few interested in WW2 kit though and I pointed them all at the CiA forum.

Only Phil now, he's a good lad. He and Rob have parted company. I think the vast majority of people who play there are 6mil customers though and their "hangers on" help with the marshalling. When I ran the site, I had a strict 328fps limit (which meant a very level playing field), that's now been raised to 370 fps (I suspect it makes for more people paying for upgrades), I didn't need marshalls because I just banned cheats! Mind you, I wasn't making any money out of it, unlike 6mil and the site owners. Yesterday, there was no chrono'ing of guns and it was all a bit "paintball" for me, with the emphasis on shooting loads of rounds (another sales ploy I think). With a relatively small site and large numbers, it didn't make for a good days' play imho. It served to remind me why I now do WW2 airsoft and why CiA is such a good bunch of people.

Neil, I'd bring Luke to St.Lo but I haven't got the spare cash to kit him out at the moment.

Angel, Nige, I totaly agree. BUT when, during a safety brief, players are told that ALL guns will be chrono'ed AND told what the fps limit is, you'd expect them to stick with it. You'd also expect the person giving said brief to stick to it too. If you get people turning up week in, week out, knowing they won't get chrono'ed, they'll be sticking the red pistons in their systemas the night before and laughing their heads off.

Sorry to harp on about it but, when I ran sites, I would chrono EVERY gun and anything over the limit was not allowed to be used. If I was in any doubt about a gun, I'd make damned sure that the mag was emptied and filled with .2's in front of me and then chrono'ed again. I would also chrono again after lunch, in case anyone had switched to their "spare" gun. I caught (and banned) a lot of people taking the piss and putting other players at risk. My simple rule was "Don't shoot anyone with a gun you're not willing to be shot with yourself" (and also "try to mug me off and I'll kick your arse! ).

Thats my idea, 1st thing I did when I got my 8mm blowback garand was to have somebody shoot it at me! *ouch*

 Yeah, it can sometimes make you realise just how hard some weapons can fire. I remember when I got my Tanaka K98, I wore my "Major Konig" parka and got the wife to shoot me at 5 metres. It almost bought tears to my eyes, it hurt so much, even through the parka!

Today I look like Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. I couldn't find my suncream at the weekend. Eventually found it in a secret compartment of my rucksack.
