Got 4 60-litre tubs from Wilkinsons and put all my WWII gear in them. :good:

They only had 4. I still have a small rucksack full and a drawer in the chest of drawers. However, I did clear out 3 drawers. Must buy more kit to fill them up again... :wink:

Tooooooooday I did stuff I can't talk about (and I did it yesterday too) but what I can talk about is chucking a big flare in a 3m deep pond to see what it did!!!!! and testing some nice bloooo smoke!

I sorted out my early war MKII and cover, then soaked it an dbooted it around the garden for 20 mins to make it suitably dull and worn.

Found out that a man in my area fought at monty cassino but has never had his story recorded but loves talking about the war and I am going to meet him soon!!!!

that happened to me, there was a guy lived near us he fought at cassino, but he fought for the GERMANS !!!!!! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Packing my civi kit for a weekends camping bit like sisk but without the s so must be risk or wisk can't be pisk though cos we're invited and booked in, but might be after a few sherries tomorrow night :lol: Looking forward to finally meeting the Finnish contingent :good:

Shortened my Garand to the correct length. It looks better now. The reason it didn't work at St Lo was bad contacts on the trigger mech. Lots of carbon, etc... That's now working again.

Put Liptons Garand back together. It is working, but is multiple feeding.

Swapped the connector on my Sten MkV back to a normal small tamiya ready for sale.

Made preperations to buy most of my Heer uniform (M40Tunic, trousers, shoulder boards, collar and chest insignias, cap, belt and buckle) with hopefully my jack boots being ordered in another two weeks
