am mostly attacking my helmet
glad there was a link to piccies

And continuing on the helmet theme, I found a way to stop my lid sliding all over the place. I decided to sew an old foam liner into it. dual effect of making lid finally fit and a bloody handy sweat band. Very handy for all us people with little heads. its rock solid now even without the chin strap. ![]()

My FJ lid will be getting its first outing at Husky and I've a lil head, don't think it fits too bad (was I think Scotts - buy so many things you forget where you got half of it from, or is that just me) but I may have to take a peek at how you made improvements to yours for future reference ![]()
I'm sat downloading the top 10 from 1930 to 1943 as I've stupidly volunteered to attempt to sing (could be more of cats chorus) if we manage to get a Soldatenheim as part of the ladies display at a point in the future
considering issuing ear plugs
thus I need to hear the actual songs to see which ones will be best, burn them onto an mp3 player, and torture everyone in any close proximity at Detling, whislt we work out which ones are going to be the best to play (we've piano sheet music - yes sheet not shit, the latter will no doubt be my part with singing
)

Certainly have attacked it, all that polishing means your helmets nearly shiney

I'm waiting on a fally lid from germany, so I'm going to try it on that as well. It's a relativly simple idea. A piece of foam mesure it for your head size and then sew it into the interior of the lid through the leather. I tried to sew it under the leather but it didn't work very well. Grant you I didn't try very hard. I'll post some pic's. Pat.
Not when I'm wearing it, it doesn't... just so you know, I'm watching you
PS ta Pat

Today I ran airsofters all around my site, while I drove around in the jeep
Did you use an AS prodder attached to the front of your Jeep? to move them on a bit ![]()
had a root canal. Don't let any one tell you It don't hurt, cos it bloody does. still better to have it than raging toothache at Husky. It only took me 4 months to work up the courage to go to the dentist.

...finished sewing my (No 2) Commando insignia on my BD.
No more sewing, please! ![]()

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

They aren't the best pic's. What do you think?

Looks good, although I think the hand painted bit around the eagle looks too defined. Might look better if you tried to blend it into the rest of the helmet a bit more. ![]()
Good point. If the wind and rain stays away I'll try it tomorrow.
