‘Operations – Road to Caen’ 2009
Battle weekender, Tuddenham, Suffolk.
Feb 21-22
ONLY £35 for the whole weekend pre-book
£45 on the gate.

Welcome to Gunman Airsoft ‘Operations’ IIWW Battle weekend

‘Operations’ is a social gathering for both sides to prepare for war and build up comradeship within the units. Set up for both Axis and Allies to practice their missions for the Road to Caen event and get to bond with your squads and have a bally good time is top of the list! 1940s music, bar and hot food served at the mess.
The event will begin at 10am Saturday and finish at around 2pm Sunday.

GUNMAN will be providing a number of marshal driven vehicles to be used in the game as well as field artillery, outposts, gun emplacements and the very best props and set dressings.
Both days will be filled with missions setting up the D-Day RTC event. For the purpose of making the event work the AXIS and ALLIED troops will shoot against each other, pretending that both sides are just soldiers from their own side using the enemy’s uniforms and weapons. All the scenarios will be short skirmish battles.

Command
The Marshall will be playing key roles during the weekend to help the operations team deliver a fluid, realistic weekend and help the players get the most out of the weekend. They will be able to keep in contact with the 1IC throughout the training so the units can co-ordinate attacks and defence.

Radio Packs
GMA will be providing all the in game radios for the weekend in the form of backpack radios, carried by a radioman. No other radio communications will be allowed unless in keeping with 2ww.

Site and arrival
The Tuddenham site details can be found here: http://www.gunmanairsoft.co.uk/sites/tu ... ctions.php

• Camping equipment – even if sleeping in the buildings!

I'll have to clear it with work first but count me in as well, I've got to start going to these events

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

Being feb and as the biuldings aren't getting used for the training (we will still battle in them, but for for the 'Road to Caen' senarios) we're happy for both groups to set up camp inside them. Ill get a load of pallets sorted for firewood and make sure the bins are taken down. I have a GMA staff member staying up at the top in the caravan for security of the carpark and the shop.

Only 10 days to go and all is looking good, Pak will have its breach re-enforced so it doesn't blow with the rapid fire and both the 17 Pounders are having new axels so they can be towed by vehicals. All three of the mortars will be set up for practice and as attack objectives.

Do we have any MGs coming, I know we have for the actual event, but would be great to have a few Ops...I have my M60 all rigged up for a 42, so will have one and if Easy can get an A&K gearbox from a 249 sorted, the .30cal will be up and running.

Update...out

OMG I ache, cheers for a cracker, great 2ww skirmish had by all and fantastic levels of honour in the field. Excellent numbers too considering we lost half our guys to two other games that weekend. If we all make the july game, we could see numbers in excess of 60;)

was also great to have some of the CIA lads down, great shooting with you.

Also the price of Ops weekends is going to drop to £35 for the weekend at Tudders games.
