Do German gaiters only come in one size?
I've looked but never a mention of size unlike Brit ones..

Its not something I've ever even thought about, maybe landser.com is the exception as most places just sell 'gaiters'.

Cheers

Unless you are very skinny, or have legs like tree trunks, I'm pretty sure ones from Underwood will fit you fine. Don't be tempted to get post-war ones from ebay - they're noticably too tall.

They're ok as lookalikes, but for a few quid more you can get nice repros.

Its not just that but they're much too stiff and rigid. It means not only do they not sit right and look odd but it can make them uncomfortable and mor difficult to put on. For just a pound more I'd say you be much better off getting a pair from RAU.

Oops, the chaps are right - sorry  I assumed that Epic gaiters would be good repros, but now looking at them, they are not. Underwood for good ones.

I assumed that Epic gaiters would be good

Now why would you do that?
Epic are consistently average with their kit.
There is little on their site that shines as a good repro, plenty of 'it will do', but nothing great.
I know thats not so much of an issue for airsoft, though standards are rising in the hobby, but they dont do anything better than say Soldier of Fortune, who sell a wider range of kit though much comes from the same suppliers, who seem to be constantly badgered for their kit quality.
Price in this game almost always has a correlation to authenticity and quality.
There are a number of dealers, they almost all buy from the same few suppliers, there are not that many options for where this stuff comes from. It's not a great secret or a conspiracy, the size of the market dictates it.
There are a couple of dealers in the UK who specialise in british kit or german kit who do find people to make their own repros. They are few and far between. There are some in the USA who do the same.
They are the exception.
Most German field gear comes from Sturm.
Some is good, some is OK, some is poor, some is utter crap.
Selecting one dealer for your purchases does not correct for that. Only research into the original and research across many dealers inventory can do that.
I've said it many times, dont let the box shifting dealers do your research. They dont care what you wear just how much you buy.
