im starting a thread to show what kit people are taking, to help those up top with planning.

so if we all put a brief loadout description , theres an "at a glance" veiw of what the section will have to use/wear

so heres me

Full Oak a camo, Full Feldgrau, or a mix of the two, awaiting orders on exact kit to wear
helmet with or without oak cover, or a `43 cap
set of web gear with rifle pouches and bayonet, gasmask tin etc etc
K 98 rifle or mp40 as required
broomhandle mauser or p-38

im happy to use whatever mix of kit that the Command wish, just let me know what will fit in best with the section requirements :good:

M35 helmet with plane tree cover and rubber foliage loop (cos the cover hasn't got loops).
M40 Feldgrau tunic
M42 Feldgrau trousers
Low boots & gaiters
Plane tree Zelt worn as smock. (To be confirmed - I think I'm correct in saying that this is as authentic as a "real" smock. Other reasons I'm going for this look is (a) I don't have a smock yet and (b) I'd rather not cover up my Hohenstaufen cuff title, since it took so long to sew on!)
Weapon to be confirmed. (I'm more comfortable with an SMG, but these are limited in number. Also happy to man the MG for part of the day.)

[edit] Just remembered - I'll have my M40 sidecap by then!

Helmet (still need to buy but will probably be M35)with Blurred edge cover
Blurred edge M42 smock
M40 tunic
M37 trousers
Boots & gaiters
Tanaka G33/40 or Moisin Nagant if allowed(yes it will be done by then..). Might also be able to do G43 or M1 carbine (although that doesn't fit) by then too.
Necessary webbing to suit the weapon.
Mr Pointy.

For me (dependent on the weather), it'll be

M42 helmet with Oakleaf cover.
M36 tunic.
Burred edge smock.
Pea dot trousers (or hbt's).
Low boots and gaiters.

Weapon wise, I'll be using the MG42! :rocker:

Will also bring an MP40 as a backup.

Unfortunately I have never invested in feldgrau kit - always gone for camo ..... and with finances being what they are - does anyone have any feldgrau i can borrow for this event? As i am going to be joining forester 'in garrison mode' due to my knee felgrau would look better than a blurred edge smock...

tunic size 42 - 44 chest
34 waist

sorry to be a pain but job is uncertain and much as i would like to, I cant justify buying yet another loadout which i will hardly wear :( .......... yet

As both Hohenstaufen & PBI are trying to up the commitment to detail in our games the following uniform items are acceptable:-

Feldgrau - Tunics, Trousers, Caps
Dot '44 - Tunics, Trousers
Oakleaf - Smocks, Helmet Covers
Planetree - Smocks, Helmet Covers
Burrededge - Smocks, Helmet Covers

We are supposed to be Panzer Infantry - so please no Gebirgsjager items, non-regulation tunics, fantasy items like Dot'44 covers etc. We're all grown up's so please, think and try your best.

Also weapons wise - Mauser 98k's, G33, MP-40's, P08, P38, MG-42 etc. Oh and a side full of StG-44's isn't going to look great either. Also prefer no 'wannabe' weapons.

Part of what we are about is realism within the boundaries of WW2 Airsoft - so I don't think we want to see this:-

i was coming in greys , but ive been expanding my wardrobe recently

ive got
Fledgrau
plaintree
oak a
dot 44

can we wear what we want?????? or would a specific uniform or kit mix be required

i may give the dot44 a go if its appropriate

Sorry to stick my oar in on this but a kitlist for this game was posted LAST NOVEMBER!

viewtopic.php?f=90&t=5891

There really is no excuse for anyone to not have the right kit by now.

i know the thread pete :good: , i was trying to gauge what others were wearing so i could co -ordinate the same uniform

or are we all going to be in the correct kit as per the list, but with individual touches , one guy wears dot 44 pants one in grey pants,
or a garrison style satndard of turnout, all in same or very simmilar uniforms

I wasn't pointing any fingers Tony. A mishmash of (correct) kit would look more realistic imho. I also hope to god we aren't going to be seeing 90% of the German side armed with MP44's for this.

I doubt it - only one or two even own one and AFAIK, Steve is the only person to bring his within the right FPS limit.

me and tiny both gonna be fielding k 98s for sure :good:

im not really concerned with a high kill/death count this event, (or most others for that matter) im more into "getting in to charicter and the timeframe"

id like to have a full auto rattle now and again but for the near future i see my k98 getting more use , as i agree the stg 44 is going to see a lot of use over the next 6 months

what im dreading seeing , is US 101st paras using "captured" stg44`s :ghey:

That should be a stoning offence.
